Helen Linhart Obituary

Helen (Bures) Linhart passed away peacefully from complications following a stroke on September 19, 2013, at the age of 93.

Helen was born on June 18, 1920, in Wagner, S.D., and was raised and lived in South Dakota until moving to Portland near the end of WWII to marry her high school sweetheart, Frank Linhart and start a family in Portland.

Helen was a very caring person, epitomized by her 25 years of volunteer service at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Helen was devoted to family and friends and cherished the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her son, Roger Linhart; daughter-in-law, Carol Linhart; two grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, followed by a celebration of her life at 2 p.m. at Pacific Pointe Retirement Home in Tigard on the same day.
