November 15, 1911 ~ April 5, 2013 (age 101)
After graduating from Commerce High School, she married high school sweetheart, William H. Stevenson. She was an excellent homemaker and after her kids were old enough, she worked as mail clerk at Portland City Hall, from which she retired.
She enjoyed gardening, travel, concerts and family activities. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; and sister, Phebe.
She is survived by her daughters, Muriel Nagle (Robert), Sandra Gjelde (Earl); and son, Bill Stevenson (Kerry); six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place April 30, 2 p.m., in the chapel at Calaroga Terrace, 1400 N.E. 2nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon. Private family interment.
As she had a great love of animals, the family suggests remembrance contributions to the Oregon Humane Society, or a charity of choice.
You can still show your support by sending flowers directly to the family, or by planting a memorial tree in the memory of Louise Stevenson
