December 7, 1920 ~ January 7, 2013 (age 92)
A lifelong Oregonian, Kent graduated from Willamette University and University of Oregon Medical School. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps., stationed in Nuremberg, Germany. Kent was a dedicated surgeon, practicing in Portland for over 30 years.
Kent enjoyed golf with a decades-long membership at Willamette Valley C.C., skiing, travel and bridge.
Kent is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nona; children, Ann Pierson, Nancy Barker, Brent Markee; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Jan. 19, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Holy Names Heritage Center, 17425 Holy Names Drive, Lake Oswego.
