Edith McMullen Obituary

Edith Marie McMullen, 101,a former teacher at Portland’s Fernwood Grade School, passed away, October 4, 2012, at age 101. A private service was held.

Born to Eva and George W. Miller in Sprague, Washington, February 4, 1911. Edith had three brothers: Allan, Don and Ervin.

She married Ralph E. McMullen, a Bureau of Public Roads civil engineer, who preceded her in death. They had one son, Dean E. McMullen.

Edith enjoyed gardening, travel to numerous countries, membership in service and social organizations and shopping.

Survivors include two daughters-in-law; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; plus one sister-in-law; nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff of West Hills Senior Facility and Providence Hospice for providing compassionate care.

Interment was at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum.
