Virginia Cory Obituary

Virginia Jean (Kuehner) Cory died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at Mt. Angel Towers, Mt. Angel. She was 89 years old.

A funeral Mass for Virginia will be held at St. Cecilia Church, 5105 Franklin Avenue, Beaverton on Monday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. and Mt Angel Towers in Mt. Angel on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in Virginia’s name to the Providence Portland Medical Foundation Helping Hand Fund or Willamette Valley Hospice.

Virginia was born June 7, 1923 to Helen and Oscar Kuehner in Bridgeport, Conn. She and her family moved first to Brooklyn, N.Y. and finally settled in Bel Mar, N.J. Virginia had two younger sisters, Marguerite and Monica.

Both of Virginia’s sisters and George Cory predeceased her. Her son, Scott and his partner, Graham Gunn, survive her.
