Stanley Schultz Obituary

Stanley Sterling Schultz was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 26, 1921, and passed on May 19, 2012, in Tigard, Oregon.

He was an all-state, all-star, football player in High School-St. Louis, and received a full-ride scholarship to the University of Missouri (Tigers). He enlisted in the Marine Corps Officer training program that transferred him to Purdue University in Indiana, where he played guard/tackle on the Boilermakers. He was also drafted onto the NFL Rams. In WWII, he was stationed in China, and served as a Marine First Lieutenant.

Most of his adult life was spent in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, where he owned and operated a retail office supply store, ‘Village Stationers’, for 17 years.

After he retired at age 58, he aspired in many things such as, antique clock repair, woodworking, and jewelry making. He was a talented and creative artist.

He is survived by his wife, Wedgie Schultz, his two daughters, Laurie Schultz Knytych, and Tracy Schultz Gergi, and his grandson Clinton Stegman.

He will be greatly missed.
