April 18, 1931 ~ January 15, 2012 (age 80)
When Pat was in the seventh grade, her family moved to SE Portland and she attended Grout Elementary School where she met her lifelong friends, JoAnne Ellison, Shirley Kuse and Marge Colosky. They went on to Franklin High School and the foursome were the belles of the ball.
In 1951, Pat married her high school sweetheart, Gerry Egland, and they were married for 21 years. They had two children, Lori and Patrick. During that time they traveled extensively and lived in Egland for five years.
Pat’s second husband, Dr. Thomas Magenis, predeceased her in death in 1983. Her brothers, Arthur and Edward Kelly also predeceased her.
In 1986, Pat married Dr. George P. Adlhoch and they began their wonderful life together. They celebrated their 25th anniversary in September. Those 25 years were full of fabulous times. The blended family continued to grow; celebrations were almost weekly. Pat was the heart of the family and the cheerleader for us all. As well as family, Pat has hundreds of friends. For her, lifelong relationships were the most important possession.
She was diagnosed with cancer on Thanksgiving.
Pat always looked to the future. She had no regrets, she lived life to the fullest. We will miss her.
