Sarah Kimmel Obituary

Sarah Louise Kimmel, born in Chicago on July 16, 1951, passed on to her next life on March 26th, 2020, while sleeping in her home. She is survived by her brother, Bill; niece, Monica Gauthier; and various extended family. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. John and Sally Kimmel; sister Mary Ellen Gauthier; and brother, Michael Kimmel.

She attended St. Mary’s Cathedral through 8th grade and attended Lincoln High School.  She played piano and violin. Sarah was quite artistic and enjoyed applying her skills to photography, drawing, and writing. She was a devoted Catholic and loved going to all the Catholic churches around town, but her favorite was St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Sarah liked to take walks and enjoyed being outside on spring days, looking at all the flowers and people passing by, often attending seasonal concerts and events. Sarah Louise was a kind soul with a huge heart, and a smile that lit up her eyes. She will be missed greatly.
