Sandra June Hagspiel passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family May 9, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with a rare lung disease.

Sandra was born in Framingham, Mass., July 2, 1944 to Thomas and Frances Hagspiel and is one of 11 children. She spent the majority of her life on the West coast, living in California, Alaska and eventually settled in Portland. She was a graduate of Portland State University and enjoyed a successful career in Human Resources.

Sandra will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her devoted husband, Carl Ehlen; daughter, Shannon Churchill; son-in-law, Adam Churchill; stepson, Andrew Ehlen; and her beloved grandchildren, Lucia and Madden. She will also be fondly remembered by her caring siblings, extended family and wonderful friends.
