Born May 25, 1941, in Portland to James and Assimina Lekas, Andy graduated from Grant High School in 1959, and earned an associate’s degree in architectural drafting. Andy worked for many construction companies in the Portland area, but was better known for his volunteer work at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Portland and the bridge at the Vietnam War Memorial in Washinton Park. As a Boy Scout leader from 1980 to 1994, Andy influenced many young men in the Portland area.
