September 14, 1937 ~ February 17, 2020 (age 82)
Antonio (Tony) Piscitelli, age 82, passed away peacefully at his home on February 17, 2020 surrounded by family and friends. He was born September 14, 1937 in Giovinazzo Bari, Italy to Francesco Piscitelli and Maria Babaro-Piscitelli. Antonio was the beloved husband to Pasqua Cortese-Piscitelli, they were married in 1965, shortly before immigrating to the United States in Brooklyn, New York.
For many years, Antonio worked as an industrial welder, a trade he perfected from his time in the Italian Army. Happily settled in Oregon, Antonio and Pasqua founded and operated an authentic Italian Restaurant and retired from their family run business in 2007. He shared his love for cooking with his three sons who would have been found working along Tony’s side in the restaurant. He had a passion for traveling and loved to take his wife back to the place they met in Italy at their hometown on the sea. Tony rarely stood still and had a passion for growing his own fruits and vegetables in their home garden along with bottling his own hand made wine. He was a cheerful, friendly and hardworking man and was loved by his family and friends.
Tony is survived by his wife of 55 years Pasqua Piscitelli; brothers Pasquale and Vincenzo Piscitelli; sisters Teresa Cortese and Caterina Falco; his three sons and their wives, Frank and Anna Piscitelli, Vito and Wendy Piscitelli, and Giuseppe and Kelly Piscitelli; grandchildren, Ariana Ware, Antonia Piscitelli, Deanna Piscitelli, Michelle Piscitelli and Alina Sanchez; as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces. All of which he loved and touched deeply. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Please join us celebrating his life Friday February 28, 2020 at 11am. The service will be held at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Portland followed by a reception and entombment at Riverview Abbey at 2pm. There will be a rosary service and viewing held Thursday February 27, 2020 at 6pm at Riverview Abbey.

To the family, my sincere condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to end all suffering. Before long, God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things (will) have passed away.â€(Rev. 21:3,4). May this promise from God give you comfort now and a real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.
