August 30, 1948 ~ April 18, 2012 (age 63)
Arlene passed away unexpectedly April 18, 2012, after suffering for many years with bipolar disease and most recently Parkinson’s disease. She was 63.
Arlene was born August 30, 1948, and lived in Portland most of her life. She graduated from Wilson High School and graduated from Southern Oregon College. Arlene was a good daughter, sister and mother. She loved horseback riding, skiing and writing. Though she was disabled in her later years, she kept her sense of humor and optimism. We will miss her deeply.
Arlene leaves a son, Armand; her sister, Gail Zimmerman; and her good friends, David Randazzo and Jackie Elwood.
All memorial contributions should be made to the local chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
