February 1, 1925 ~ December 3, 2015 (age 90)
Barbara died after a long illness. She grew up in White Bluffs, Washington, and Portland. Barb loved the outdoors and was a Forest Service fire lookout (Larson Rock, Lane County); a certified professional ski instructor of America, teaching at Mt. Hood and Timberline ski schools; and active in the Mazamas, leading many climbs in the Cascades.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Adrian “Bud”; sister, Gloria Robson; and daughter, Karen Schmaling.
No services were held.
