Barbara Lewis Obituary

It is with great sadness, that the family of Barbara Lewis; loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma announce that she lost her final battle with cancer in Portland October 7, 2017 at the age of 87. She was surrounded by family.

An only child, born to the late William and Louise Olsen in Portland on November 30, 1929, Barbara graduated from Jefferson High School and Northwest Business College. She was Honored Queen of Jobs Daughters.

She married Barney Lewis in 1952 and they had four children. With Barney passing away at an early age, Barbara raised the children on her own.

Barbara was active in her Church and Choir, both in Portland and Crooked River Ranch Oregon and she loved The Lord.
She enjoyed spending time with family and taking trips to the beach to watch the ocean and eat crab cocktails.

Barbara is survived by her children, Sharon, Shelley, Sheila and Steven (Janice); seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will remain in our hearts forever!

A Memorial Service in memory of Barbara will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2017, in the Chapel at Riverview Abbey in Portland.
