Barbara was born in Vancouver BC to Arthur and Robina Holstead. She was an honorary life member of the board of directors of the De Paul Rehabilitation Center, a former Director of the Jesuits Volunteers, and served on the Board of the Franciscan Montessori Earth School, as well as a contributor and member of to many other organizations through the years.

Recent years have been spent with family and friends enjoying Victoria BC, Rancho Mirage, California, and Vancouver, WA. She was an accomplished knitter, a skill she learned as a child and which she passed onto her daughter. She took great joy in making gifts for others. She also enjoyed canning and preserving berries. She was able to fill a room with love and laughter and enjoyed entertaining throughout her entire life.

She was a beautiful, amazing, wonderful, talented, woman, wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be remembered and loved by many.

Barbara June is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter Rochelle Marie Pratt.

She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Gerry Pratt, son Daniel A. Pratt, and daughter Barbara Ann Blackhurst, as well as grandchildren Christopher G. Blackhurst, Benjamin J. Blackhurst and Andrew Arthur Pratt.
