Betty Edwards was born in Topeka, Kansas April 26, 1935 to the union of Roy and Xenia Hardy. She lived at 1419 Quiency Ave. Topeka, Kansas. She was the youngest of six children and her older brothers were very protective of their little sister.

She attended local schools in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Topeka High School in 1953. She then went on to attend Washburn University.

She married her High School sweetheart Arthur Edwards in 1956 and two sons were born from this union of 20+ years; Art and Tony Edwards. Betty was completely devoted to her sons. Her family was her greatest joy and best accomplishment. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports and other activities. She was an extremely proud and loving Grandma with a caring and kind spirit and was known by all around the neighborhood as Grandma Betty.

Throughout her life she lived in Texas, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, California and Oregon. She was an avid reader, enjoyed painting and listening to music in her spare time.

She departed this life on January 28, 2013 at Kaiser Hospital in Clackamas, Oregon.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons Art and Tony Edwards, four grandchildren, Arianna, AJ, Alesandra and Alexa Edwards and honorary granddaughter Dani Miller, brother Frank Hardy, two sister-in-laws and numerous, cousins, nieces and nephews. Last but not least her small dog Dixie.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Xenia; brothers Roy Hardy, Howard Hardy, Arthur Hardy, Tommy Hardy and Sister Ellen Hardy.
