Bice was the mother of Carla Roberti-Adler of Portland and Frank J. Roberti of Mercer Island, Washington. Bice was born September 5, 1924, in San Pio, province of L’Aquila, Italy. She was the younger of two girls born to Giovanni and Giovanna De Angelis.

While she was in Portland, she met and married Frank C. Roberti in 1952. Bice served her family as a homemaker and participated in the Altar Society at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and later at Sacred Heart Church.

Bice’s home was always open to family, friends and neighbors. There was always something cooking in the kitchen, which she shared with all who came by. Bice’s greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always put her family before herself and will always be remembered for her sense of humor and the care she gave to everyone.

Bice was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1999.

She is survived by her daughter, Carla; son, Frank; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, both in Portland and Italy.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015, in the Riverview Abbey Funeral Home chapel.

At the request of Mrs. Roberti, the funeral will be private for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maryville Nursing Home.
