Brenda Pfahl Obituary

Brenda L. Phahl passed away on November 27, 2021 in Wilsonville, Oregon. Brenda was born on August 5, 1925 in Wentworth, South Dakota and graduated from High School in Seward, Nebraska, where she was the valedictorian of her high school graduating class. After attending Valparalso University in Indiana, Brenda moved with her family to Oregon, where she married Alvin Pfahl in 1949. Brenda lived most of her adult life in West Linn, Oregon in a home that designed by the noted Portland architect, Van Evera Bailey.

Brenda retired from Armstrong Volkswagen, where she worked for many years as the office manager. Upon retirement, Brenda volunteered as a docent for the Portland Art Museum and enjoyed multiple trips to Europe with her family and friends. She also served as an elder at Zion Lutheran Church and was an avid member of two book clubs.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Anna Germeroth, husband Alvin Pfahl, brothers Ray and Charles Germeroth, and her sister Clarice Foelker. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Pfahl of Tigard, Oregon and granddaughters, Elsa and Audrey Pfahl, plus her brother Creighton, nephew Marcus Foelker and nephews Gregg and Mike Roth.

Services for Brenda will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in downtown Portland on Thursday, December 16th at 11:00 AM. Donations may be made to Zion Lutheran in lieu of flowers.
