Carol Camplan passed away Saturday afternoon, January 19th, 2019 at the age of 86.
Carol was born in Portland, Oregon. After graduating High School, Carol attended the University of Oregon and received her Bachelor’s degree in 1955, where she began her career as a Social Worker for the State of Oregon. After having a family, Carol returned to school and in 1984 received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Portland, State University. She continued to work for the State of Oregon’s Children’s Services Division until she retired.
Carol enjoyed traveling and going to the theater with friends, where she always purchased season tickets to the Broadway Rose productions. She also enjoyed gardening, swimming, book club groups, and family gatherings. Over the years Carol had learned crafts such as basket weaving and knitting along with home improvement projects like tiling, refinishing furniture and re-plastering walls.
Carol is survived by her daughter Mara, granddaughter Baily, sisters- Evelyn, Marylou, Carol, Lauri and Eileen; Brothers- Jim and David, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A remembrance gathering will be held on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 between 1 and 6 p.m. For more information please email mcsniffles63@yahoo.com.
