July 22, 1950 ~ February 21, 2015 (age 64)
Carol Mitchell passed into the loving presence of her great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 21, 2015, at her home in Prineville, Oregon. She was born on July 22, 1950 in Salem, Oregon.
Her father was an Air Force pilot, and she lived in Germany for a time as a child. Carol was a Registered Nurse and was among the last graduating class of the Emanuel School of Nursing in 1972. She was also a graduate of Multnomah School of the Bible’s One Year Graduate Program, and she traveled extensively in Europe and Israel upon its completion.
Carol loved her career in nursing, as well as family activities; quilting, photography, and making Creative Memories™ photo albums. She also enjoyed many years of participation in the Portland Singing Christmas Tree and Bible Study Fellowship (BSF).
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Gary, her beloved sisters, Rebecca Wimsett and Deborah Roth, brothers John and James Wegner, and eight nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Carol at the Riverview Abbey Chapel on Tuesday, March 17th, at 11:00 AM. The address is 0319 SW Taylors Ferry Road, Portland, 97219.
