Carole McDonald Obituary

Carole McDonald unexpectedly passed away of a heart attack at age 70. Carole and her husband Gary had recently moved to Carlton, Oregon, after living in Portland since 1972. Carole was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 23, 1941.

After moving to Portland with her family, she graduated from Grant High School and then attended the University of Hawaii. Carole married Gary McDonald in Portland in 1965. They were married for 47 years.

Gary and Carole worked together for 35 years in the advertising and marketing industry. Gary was President of McDonald, Babb and Clarkson, and Carole managed the Media Buying Department. For the last 10 years they owned a successful advertising and marketing firm, C & G Marketing.

Carole was loved and admired by many as a kind, humorous, gracious person.

She is survived by her husband, Gary McDonald; and brother, Mike Cooper.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Vino Vixens, 2929 S.E. Powell Blvd., Portland.

Remembrances may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Oregon Cat Project.
