A dedicated Catholic, Chris made a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Croatia and ministered to the deaf including at retreats at Camp Mark 7, an organization enhancing the spiritual life of deaf individuals. Chris was truly a model lay oblate and lived with the Dominican Missionaries Seminarians for a several years, rarely missing daily Mass or evening prayers.
Although born deaf, Chris could communicate with everyone! For many years he played a perfect St. Nick for kids in San Francisco. Well traveled, he shared his adventures with extended family and many friends through skillful photography and video.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Leslie Roeback.
He leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Chris had a wonderful sense of humor and the best giggle ever, and will be missed by so many. Thank you Chris for all you taught us!
