Christian Aaron Thompson of Beaverton, Oregon, died of natural causes on June 9, 2015. He was 48 years old. He is survived by his parents Richard and Mary and his brother Blair.
Christian was born in Portland and baptized at St. John Fisher Catholic Church. He grew up in Beaverton attending Cooper Mountain and Hiteon grade schools and Highland Park Junior High. He enjoyed playing sports during that time and played recreational league soccer and basketball as a teenager.
Christian graduated from Beaverton High School and took some courses at Portland Community College after graduation. He then got a job at the former Crown Zellerbach paper products plant in North Portland where he worked as a machine operator. Following that, he held jobs at Yellow Freight and at Rite Aid as a freight handler.
Activities that Christian enjoyed as a young adult included taking his friends out on his boat for water skiing on the Willamette and Columbia rivers. He enjoyed movies and rock music and attended many live concerts in Portland with his friends. He was also an avid sports fan and supported the Portland Trailblazers and Timbers, as well as the Seattle Seahawks.
