Consuelo Meurlott Obituary

Consuelo “Connie” Meurlott passed away peacefully March 2, 2014, at Mary’s Woods in Lake Oswego.

Born to the late Marcella and Lawrence Dinneen, she grew up in Portland with her seven siblings. Connie graduated from Lincoln High School and completed her bachelor’s degree at Marylhurst College.

As a young adult, she loved skiing and was a member of the Mazama Club. Connie married the love of her life, Byron Meurlott, on April 21, 1951, and raised a family of five children. She later became a Realtor in the Lake Oswego area and worked in tandem with her husband, who designed and built homes.

Connie is survived by her beloved husband and constant companion of 63 years, Byron Meurlott; four of her children, Tom (Linda) Meurlott, Marlu (Ed) Newvine, Vince (Annie) Meurlott and Anne (David) Van Holde; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Beth Loprinzi, Tim Dinneen and Dolores Dinneen will also miss their kind sister.

She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Michelle Dacklin Meurlott.

Connie shared a deep Catholic faith and love for her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed by all.

The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 10 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Oswego. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m.
