Delbert Thomas Bachelder was born to Thomas G. Bachelder and Elizabeth Guntley in Portland, Oregon on August 20, 1934. He moved to Salem, Oregon in 1971, and passed away there on November 9, 2016, at 82 years of age.

Delbert was graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952, where he had been Senior Class President, a “Teddie” on the cheerleading squad, and saxophone player in the High School band. Delbert went on to college, and to serve our country in the National Guard.

He worked for Hyster and Clairol before starting several businesses of his own. Delbert pursued his love for music as a member of One Accord, a singing group which performed at various churches. He attended Christian Center Church in Salem, Oregon.

Delbert is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Bachelder; son, Kirk Bachelder; and grandchild, Katie Bachelder.
