Diana Ward Obituary

Diana Joan (Martin) Ward passed away peacefully September 6, 2018, after a six year struggle with ALS.
Diana spent her earliest years in Santa Barbara, California, and has fond memories of growing up there. After living in various other states, she moved to Portland, attended Grant HS and PSU.

She was active in the community, serving as Chairperson of the Washington County March of Dimes and for the West Slope Republican Women. Diana worked as a Legislative Secretary in Salem for nine years and later for Community Newspapers locally.

Over the years she enjoyed arts and crafts, bowling, camping and spending time with her family and many friends.
Diana is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Alan; her son, Jim (wife, Cheryl) and granddaughter Sabrina of Beaverton; her daughter, Laurie (husband, Leonard Damian) and grandchildren Hayden and Leah Damian of Carson, Washington; her brother, Daniel and family of Anaheim, California; and sister, Jodi and family of Quincy, California. Her cousin, Mary lives in Delaware. Diana was the daughter of eastern Canadian immigrants and has numerous relatives in Canadian provinces.
