September 22, 1940 ~ September 5, 2020 (age 79)
Dionisio is synonymous to: English Scholar, Bible Scholar, Brilliant Preacher, Patient Teacher, Loving Husband, Father, Papa, Grandfather, Lolo, Uncle Jun, Wordsmith, Gardener, God’s warrior, Dad Humor Comedian, Scrabble and Sudoku Enthusiast. A World War II orphan and survivor who rose above hardships and journeyed through life serving God and genuinely loving his family.
Missing him forever in this journey is his wife of 53 years, Rosa and their children, Thomas & Roxanne, Richard & MiHwa, Deborah, Karen & Agung and John; their grandchildren Jocelyn, Madeline, Luke, Christine, Danny, Andy, Isaac, Noah and Neo, as well as his only sibling Nellie. Dionisio’s sunrise was in Villasis, Pangasinan, Philippines on September 22, 1940 then replanted in California, then Oregon where his sunset was on September 5, 2020 in Beaverton.
He ran his race even while battling Parkinson’s Disease in his last years of life but reached the finish line faithfully. His family surrounded him and as they said goodnight, his countenance was of peace and joy as his face looked up to the arms of Jesus welcoming him and all of heaven applauding, he took his last breath on earth and his first in eternity. This was his story, this was his song, now praising his Saviour all the day long.
