September 16, 1921 ~ May 21, 2019 (age 97)
Doris V. Dugwyler, age 97, passed away peacefully May 21, 2019. She was raised on a farm in Huber, Oregon, along with her six brothers and sisters. Her dad and mom, Ludwig and Ellen Lundborg, originally from Malmo, Sweden, found their way out west, with a temporary stop in Minnesota.
She was a graduate of Roosevelt H.S. and later attended clerical school for two years. Doris was married to Harold Krieger for 32 years. Together they raised three children and nothing meant more to Doris than her role as a mom. After the children were raised she challenged herself acquiring her series 7 license in finance, eventually working for her brother’s brokerage firm. She had a real estate license, but her real passion was family counseling as a volunteer at Mt. Park Church for 16 years. Later in life Doris married Jack Dugwyler and they enjoyed many happy years together.
Doris was a true competitor who loved to dance, golf and play bridge. She even attended Zumba classes until she was 93 years old. Every year she enjoyed going to the beach and Black Butte Ranch with her family. Ever the lady dressed to the nines, she was always excited to attend any social occasion. She maintained many friendships and close relationships with members of her family. In spite of losing most of her vision from macular degeneration, and for the last three years with lymphoma, she continued her positive spirit and remained truly engaged in life.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Cherri Roskie, Jill Nasser (Mike) of Portland; and son, Randy Krieger (Robin) of Bend; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2019, at Mt. Park Church, Lake Oswego. Memorial gifts in Doris’ memory may be made to: Habitat for Humanity, 1478 N.E. Killingsworth St., Portland, OR. 97211.

I never met Doris but she seemed like a first class lady full of life, always wanting to expand her interests. What a delight it will be for her in the coming resurrection to a new earth where death will be no more with endless activities to enjoy life to the full. That is God’s promise.
