October 31, 1937 ~ March 18, 2024 (age 86)
Edna J. Elmore was born Oct. 31, 1937, in Alexandria, La. She passed away March 18, 2024. Edna was a graduate of Southern University, and a retired Portland Public School teacher. She was a member of the Portland Association of Teachers, Oregon Education Association and AKA Sorority. Her membership and commitment to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church was a valuable part of her life. She served faithfully in various ministries for over 50 years.
Preceded in death by her father, John Joffrion, Sr.; mother, Ivory Joffrion; brother, John Joffrion, Jr.; sister, Rachel Branch; and brother, Willie Joffrion. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Cleave Elmore, Jr.; and daughter, Felicia C. Elmore; three siblings, Nell Harrell, Clarence Joffrion and Phillip Joffrion; three loving aunts, Alzina Irving, Christina Henton and Ruth Mims.
