Born in Greensboro, Florida, Eugene passed away in Portland. His wife of 51 years, Lois (Castile); and his two children, Loretta and Roger; embraced each moment of his three year journey with cancer. He is also survived by two brothers, Frank and Amos.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Eugene retired in 2009 as a Chief Electrical Inspector with Clackamas County. As an ordained minister, he built a church in Westport, and ministered to the Hispanic community. He recently led a prayer ministry at Oregon City Evangelical Church where his memorial celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m on Thursday, Dec. 22.
