Ferenc Pal Schonstal, born September 18, 1934, in Budapest, Hungary, to Gyula and Ilona Schonstal, passed away June 13, 2014, in his home in Beaverton, at the age of 79.
He came to the United States in 1957 as a holocaust survivor, married and had two children and worked as a machinist.
He is succeeded by his sons, Samuel J. Schonstal, who bore him two grandsons, Joshua and Elijah Schonstal; son, Nikalas A. Schonstal; and brothers, Lester Schonstal and Leslie Aigner.
Ferenc Schonstal was a great father, brother and friend and will be missed and loved by all who knew him.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014, at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home, 0319 S.W. Taylors Ferry Road, Portland, OR 97219.
