Fern Shigeko Matsuda was born in Portland, April 14, 1928. She died December 2, 2012.
Fern was raised and educated in Japan, returning to Portland in 1955. She was employed as a seamstress for many years and then for the family owned Anzen Food and Variety store.
She is survived by her husband, William Matsuda; by her daughter, Toshiko Seeman; her brothers, Yoji and Hiroshi Matshima; and two grandchildren, Rachael and Ross Seeman.
Family services will be held at the chapel of Riverview Abbey.
Interment will be at Williamette National Cemetery.
