Margaret was born in Buckley, North Wales, U.K. She settled in Portland, Oregon with her husband in 1967. In 1988 they moved to Kansas City where she supported her husband establishing a shipping agency for Williams Diamond/Mitsui. Upon returning to Portland just over a decade later she became involved in The English Speaking Union, Portland branch.
After his death in 2005, Margaret found her own way organizing the Shakespeare Competition for the ESU, assisted on the Board and volunteered at The Oregon Maritime Museum. She fervently followed her interests in Highland Dancing, Line Dancing and Golf.
Immediate survivors include daughter Diane (with Colin), cousin Marjorie (Ron) and sister-in-law Kathleen (Brian).
Diane and her family would like to cordially thank Margaret’s exceptional caregivers for their extraordinary work, all the team at Mirabella Skilled Nursing Facility in Portland, Oregon, as well as Serenity Hospice for their outstanding work, encouragement and care.

Margaret Norwood’s funeral service will be held at the Parish of St. Mark, 1025 NW 21st Avenue, Portland, Oregon on July 24th at 3:30 p.m.
