Frances Auger Obituary

Frances J. Auger was born August 03, 1932. She passed away June 24, 2012 after battling cancer. Frances was 79.

She was born and raised in Portland, graduating from Grant High School in 1950.

She married Fredrick Auger on Aug. 8, 1953 and remained happily married for nearly 59 years. Together, they raised two children.

Frances enjoyed many hobbies including knitting and ceramics, even winning a few awards for her work. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Frances is survived by her husband, Fredrick; son, Fredrick (Suzanne); daughter, Susan Pratt (Howard); grandchildren, Tara Gregory (Nick), Kamille, Natalie and Michael Auger; great-grandchildren, Ava and Noah Gregory; brothers, Ed (Diane) Rivers and Jim Rivers; her mother, Jean Rivers; several nieces and nephews; and her dachshund, Heidi.

Her father, Fredrick Rivers; and grandson, Ryan Pratt, preceded her in death.

At her request, there will be a private interment among immediate family at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home in Portland.
