February 13, 1925 ~ April 7, 2020 (age 95)
Georgette Pulley Murray passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the age of 95. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and wife of the late Robert E. Murray. Born February 13, 1925 she was raised and educated in Strattord, Conn. Longtime residents of Trumbull, Conn., where they raised their daughter, Sharon Murray Place, and St., Louis, Mo. She and Robert moved to Lake Oswego, Ore., in 1996, to be with their daughter and her family.
Georgette was an elegant, artistic and creative woman. She was a noteworthy oil painter and garden club member, designing gardens and flower arrangements, as well as judging in flower shows. She loved to entertain, play golf, tennis and bridge. Later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, she resided at Tanner Spring Assisted Living in West Linn, Ore. She won the hearts of the most caring and loving staff one could hope for.
Georgette will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and William Place; grandson, Bryant and his wife, Erin of Portland; granddaughter, MacKenzie of Seattle; sister, Muriel Collins of Fairfield, Conn.; brother, Dr. George Pulley and wife, Connie of Trumbull, Conn.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Charlotte Pond and Adaline Pekar, both of Connecticut.
Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull, Conn.
