Biography

Grace A. Oberg Malkin, 89, died Sunday morning, December 21, 2014, at PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Medical Center. Mrs. Malkin, born December 12, 1925, in Portland, had last resided at Van Mall.

She retired from Farmers Insurance in Portland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Udel “Bob” Malkin in 1991; parents, Violet Oberg Fasken and Edward Oberg; older brother, Glen Oberg; and younger sister, Ora Baggenstos.

She is survived by her youngest sister, Armella Donnelly and husband, Bob Donnelly of Henrietta, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. A crypt-side funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum, 0319 S.W. Taylors Ferry Road in Portland.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Temple Beth Israel.
