March 20, 1926 ~ December 11, 2016 (age 90)
Graydon was born on March 20, 1926 in Milburn, Oklahoma to Graydon and Theo Wolfe and grew up in nearby Durant, Oklahoma. He graduated from High School in May 1944 and joined the Army in June. A member of the 10th Mountain Division, he served in the invasion of Italy and was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for heroic achievement in action.
Upon discharge from the Army, Graydon joined his family in Portland and went to work as a Longshoreman at the Port of Portland, Union Local 8, in 1948. A job he held for 40 years, retiring in 1988. Since retirement he has enjoyed riding his tractor, maintaining his equipment, raising pheasants, salmon fishing and his large and growing family.
Graydon married Josephine (Jo) Fern Griffith in 1957. Jo brought with her two young sons, Mike and Dick and together they had two children, Jim and JoAnn. They were happily married for 50 years.
Graydon is survived by his sons Don and Jim, his daughter JoAnn, grandchildren Joshua, Jared, Michael, Rebecca, Robert, Diana, Daniel, and Cyndi, along with seven great-grandchildren and a multitude of others.
Graydon was preceded in death by his parents Graydon and Theo, his wife Josephine, his stepsons Mike and Dick McNeeley and his beloved black lab Chodie.
