July 24, 1915 ~ February 4, 2012 (age 96)
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty; his sisters, Maxine and Gay; and his parents, James and Bertha Keeley.
Harlan served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He enlisted as a photographers mate and reached the rank of chief petty officer. He served from January 1941 to November 1945. That service included Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii and then aboard the USS Saratoga aircraft carrier to Samoa. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
After the war, Harlan worked as a photoengraver for over 32 years before retiring. His hobbies were gardening, bowling and his much loved golf game.
He is survived by his daughter, Harlene Keeley and her partner Jamie; his nieces, Marlene (Lou) Jones, Donna (Rod) Sells; nephew, Jim (Penny) Willimont and their families.
Per his request, no service was held.
