Helen Klein Obituary

Helen Derine Klein passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2018, in Lake Oswego, Oregon, at the age of 78. Helen was born on October 4, 1939, in Dunseith, North Dakota, to George and Elizabeth Smith.

Helen is survived by her sister Eileen Bachmeier; daughters: Chris Taylor, Lori Goddard-Weed (Kevin); five (5) grandchildren: Erica Wickham, Anna Taylor, Nolan Goddard, Matthew Goddard, Matthew Weed (Jasmin); two (2) great-grandchrildren: Bentley Wickham, Kyliegh Wickham.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, John, sister Evelyn Byrud, brother Dwayne Smith, sister Leah Ferguson, sister Marly Saunders, and grandson Anthony Goddard.

There will a memorial/celebration of life reception held for Helen on April 22, 2018 from 1-4pm at the Tualatin Valley Elks Lodge, 8350 SW Warm Springs St., Tualatin, Oregon 97062.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to Legacy Hopewell House Hospice Hospital, 6171 SW Capital Highway, Portland, Oregon 97239.

Helen was an amazing volunteer for the Elks Childrens Eye Clinic Easter Egg hunt. For almost 14 years, I worked with Helen as she organized the prize patrol . Her group put together 100s of gift bags for the visually impaired children who participated in the annual egg hunt event at the Elks Childrens eye clinic.
