April 27, 1916 ~ June 19, 2015 (age 99)
Howard Blessing passed away June 19, 2015, in Eugene, at the age of 99. He was born April 27, 1916, in Chicago, to Della and John Blessing, and was raised in Riverside, Ill.
He worked for three decades at Western Electric as an industrial engineer and married Janet Leib in 1936. Howard retired in 1974 and moved to Oregon, where he married Eleanor Howell May 24, 1982.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; children, Donald (Beulah), David (Betsey) and Kristine (Marjorie Georgens); stepson, John (Susan); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Howard was regarded by all as a kind man with a soft heart, always quick to help others. He will be missed
