Janice Richards Obituary

Janice died October 29, 2019, in Salem, Oregon. She was born in Portland, November 18, 1943, to Eugene and Nea Richards.

She died peacefully in the care of Hospice at Windsong Memory Care in Salem where she had been a resident for four years. She had been battling dementia for several years.

She spent over 30 years with Safeway in the administrative office in Gladstone. She enjoyed flower gardening and her home was always beautiful with flowers. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music on her collection of CD’s and records. She was also a cat lover and had two cats for many years. Most of all, she enjoyed being with family and many close friends.

She is survived by her twin brother, Larry Richards; her sister-in-law, Linda Richards of Salem; niece, Deborah Richards of Greenfield, Mass.; her niece, Catherine Solomon of Hamden, Conn.; three great-nieces; and three cousins.

Janice will be laid to rest at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum in Portland.
