December 30, 1948 ~ January 3, 2024 (age 75)
On January 3rd, 2024, Jerry Albert Miller unexpectedly passed away in Clackamas, Oregon due to heart failure. Jerry had just turned 75. Jerry was the son of Elmer Miller and Retha Witzel. Jerry will be entombed at Riverview Abbey and joined with his mother.
On December 30, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma Jerry and his two sisters Janice Harth and Jana Lajimodiere were born. His family moved to McKinleyville, California where he grew up. Jerry moved to Oregon City and lived there for over 40 years, until his passing. Jerry loved to travel. He was a licensed driver and instructor for Greyhound for 28 years. He had a big heart and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In his free time he also enjoyed woodworking and a wide assortment of DIY activities. There was always something to be improved and upgraded.
Jerry is survived by his sisters and their husbands. Wynona and Johnny Brannon; Janice and Gene Harth; Teresa and Rolland Burtis. He was preceded in death by his mother Retha, his father Elmer, his step-mother Mina, and his sister Jana.
On Friday January 19th, 2024, from 9:00am to 11:00am there will be a viewing followed by a funeral service that starts at 11:00am at Riverview Abbey located at 319 S. Taylors Ferry Road, Portland, Oregon. The service will be conducted by Chaplin Frank Clore.
In lieu of flowers, family members ask that donations be given to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund.
