John Wear Obituary

John Frederick Wear, father, grandfather and friend, slipped away peacefully on September 6, 2013.

He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Sue and Kristine; sons, John (Ann), Dan and David (Linda); and their children.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marylou.

John served as a Navy pilot during World War II. He transferred his love of flying to the U.S. Forest Service where he was a researcher and photographic pilot until his retirement.

John and his wife were avid travelers in their retirement, always seeking new experiences or visiting favorite locales. John also loved fishing, spending many happy days on the river. John and his family spent many happy times together at their cabins in the Columbia Gorge and along the Oregon Coast. John will be missed by all who knew him.

The family is very grateful to the staff of Oswego Place and to Hospice Care of the Northwest for their kind and attentive care.
