Katherine Kodis Obituary

Katherine Jean Kodis passed away February 6 after a short month’s valiant battle with cancer. Born March 12, 1960 in La Mesa, California to Samuel Wallace and Allayne Dale Kodis she leaves behind her grieving mother, sister Mary Anne Kodis, brother Andrew Wallace (Kelly) Kodis and nephews and niece Jack, Michael, and Aleena Kodis.

Kathy graduated from San Jose State with a degree in accounting followed at U.C. Davis by an M.B.A in finance, a profession she practiced at Portland’s Home Forward where she loved her job and her co-workers.

It was said of Kathy that she never spoke ill of anyone and never lost her temper. It must be said that this did not hold for Portland’s evening traffic. She switched to the Max.

Kathy had a joyous love of life and travel. She loved the Oregon Coast and its beaches where she walked and where her beloved Papillon, Zoey, retrieved just about anything Kathy could throw.

We miss her so very much.
