July 8, 1945 ~ January 9, 2017 (age 71)
Linda was born in Portland as the middle child of five to Armand and Fern Deich. Her brother Nickey and her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her brothers Michael (Patty) and Scott, sister Georgia Kasch (Floyd), her husband of 38 years Michael Van Note and “more than two” fur-kids.
Linda graduated from Grant High School in 1963 and entered the clerical part of the insurance industry where she remained for 25 years. It was while she was working at an insurance agency that she met her future husband, who quickly introduced her to the joy of living with cats.
The family wants to thank Providence Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided Linda over the final two months of her life.
A private interment ceremony will be held at Riverview Abbey for immediate family.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to SnowCap Community Charities, PO Box 160, Fairview OR 97024 or see their website at www.snowcap.org for further donation information.

So glad I saw Linda a few days before Christmas 2016. I know that she’s in a better place. She loved her cats and also her husband Mike. We all will miss her. Hopefully I will see her again.
Such a special and dearly loved sister, we will hold you in our hearts always!
I am deeply saddened by the death of my dear friend, Linda. Mike and family, please accept my deepest sympathies in the loss of your dear wife and sister.
May your many memories keep her alive in your hearts and give you comfort.
Linda, so happy to have been a part of your life. My condolences to your family. Thinking of you now being reunited with your many fur babies.
Dear Mike,
Linda was such a special woman. She always had a smile and peace about her . For that reason I was always glad to see her. She knew that any discussion on the cats would be better discussed with Mike… and she was kind to share special treats and towels through the years, too. I can’t adequately express the heartfelt thoughts but please know that I am understanding how the person you loved so dearly is gone. And may her memories be precious to you today and each day forward.
Mike, I am so sorry for your loss. Linda was a very special person with a great sense of humor and caring, calming influence to all those around. She is in a peaceful place with no more suffering. Take care Mike and my prayers are with you
Mike, we are so sorry for your loss. We have so many wonderful memories of times shared with you and Linda at softball, pizza at Stark Street and hamburgers and beer at the Lariat. She was very special and a great friend. She always remembered my anniversay and sent a card because she wasn’t sure that John would remmeber.
