April 5, 1939 ~ November 5, 2017 (age 78)
Upon graduation she took the position of Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, working there for two years before marrying Robert Dwyer, Jr. After her children left for college she became Director of Counseling at St. Mary’s of the Valley High School (now Valley Catholic) in Beaverton.
A loving mother, Lynne was devoted to her family, cared deeply about her friends, and generously volunteered her time and talents to supporting the many causes that were close to her heart. She loved to travel, especially to visit her children; yet she was equally happy at home in Portland working in her beautiful garden.
Lynne married her childhood sweatheart, Bob, in 1962 and was married for 55 years.
She is survived by her four children, Robert Dwyer III (Diana) of Butte, MT, Kelly Bloch (Robert) of Portland, OR, Katherine Spielmann (Karl) of London, UK, and David Dwyer (Libby) of New York City, NY and nine grandchildren.
Lynne is predeceased by her son Philip.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Providence Milwaukie Hospital Foundation in her honor.
You can still show your support by sending flowers directly to the family, or by planting a memorial tree in the memory of Lynne Dwyer

Dearest Dwyers, I am so sad about Lynne. She holds a very special place in my heart. I will treasure forever all the wonderful memories living in Dunthorpe and being together at Black Butte during New Year’s and summers. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Sending big hugs to each of you.
Much love, Elizabeth
I was very sad when I read about Lynnes passing. I have many fond memories of Lynne and I would like to convey my condolences to the entire family who always treated me with warmth and respect.
