March 24, 1947 ~ April 26, 2020 (age 73)
Mary Elizabeth Todd, 73, passed away surrounded by family on April 26th, 2020 in Astoria, Oregon. She was the wife of Gary D. Todd. They shared 54 years of marriage together, raising their 2 children in Rockwood. Upon retirement they had moved to their beach home in Ocean Park, Washington.
Born in Portland, Oregon on March 24th, 1947 she was the only child of Morris and Lillie Diede. Mary attended Portland Public Schools and Centennial High School.
Mary was a member of the #3602 Ocean Park Eagles where she enjoyed socializing with friends and playing BINGO. She will be remembered for her incredible love of her family, her infectious laugh and ease in which she made friends. As well as her love of wearing festive holiday socks and sparkly earrings.
Mary is survived by her husband Gary, her son Gary D Todd Jr (Tracy) and daughter Deana M. Nimz (James). Four Grandchildren, Darren Nimz, Shelby Todd, Lauren Todd and Chelsea Brooks. Two Great Grandsons Rhome and Jaxon Brooks and her beloved dog Cleo.
Her entombment service will be held on May 4th, 2020 at Riverview Abbey Chapel, Cherry Blossom corridor in Portland, Oregon for her immediate family only due to CV-19.
A celebration of life will be planned when we can all gather again to share memories and celebrate the wonderful woman that is Mary.
We are remembering Mary with a contribution to her favorite animal shelter. Should you desire, the family wishes all memorial contributions be made to South Pacific County Humane Society in her name. This can be done on their website: http://beachpets.com/ways-to-help/make-a-cash-donation/
Be the first to share your favorite memory, photo or story of Mary. This memorial page is dedicated for family, friends and future generations to celebrate the life of their loved one.
We ask on behalf of the family that you keep your comments uplifting and appropriate to help all who come here to find comfort and healing.
