April 25, 1919 ~ June 27, 2012 (age 93)
Marylou Wear (nee George), a much loved wife, mother, grand-mother and friend, slipped away peacefully after celebrating her 93rd birthday. She will be sadly missed by her husband, John (of 70 years); daughters, Sue and Kristine; sons, John (Ann), Dan and David (Linda); grandchildren, Shannon, Shelbie (Steve), Henry, Brody, Hannah and Connor; and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Lauren.
Marylou touched the lives of many students and staff as a teacher and counselor in the Beaverton School District for more than 30 years. She was a conscientious, hard working and gracious lady throughout her long productive life.
Marylou loved the natural world and her beloved beach cottage. She expressed her artistic talents by creating beautiful pottery and exquisite weavings. Her enjoyment of books, birds and flowering plants, seashells and pinecones, ski slopes, and the Oregon coast will remain a constant memory and an inspiring legacy to her children, grandchildren, and those to follow.
The family is very grateful to the staff of Oswego Place and to Legacy Hospice for their kind and attentive care.
