Maxine was born in Phoenix, Arizona. She was the third of five girls born to Chloe and William Berkshire.

She married Eugene M. Alsman on January 1, 1945. Together they had two children, Julie(David Medwid) and Chris.

In the early 40s, Maxine and her mother became associated with the Jehovah’s Witnesses organization which continued until Maxine’s death.

Maxine was very proud of her two grandchildren, Tamara Medwid and Chris Alsman Jr. (Jenny).

Maxine was presented with her first great-granddaughter, Avery Alsman, in 2012.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and two sisters, Mercedes and Miriam. Funeral will be 1 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home.
