On September 10, 1955 she married Dick Klees, whom she later divorced but remained close to. She retired from Rodda Paint Co.
Gayle loved entertaining, dogs, gardening, feeding the birds, cooking, sewing, cardmaking, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
Gayle passed away peacefully Christmas morning. She is survived by her daughter Laurie (Frank) Kolar, son Dan (Holly) Klees, six grandchildren – Matthew, Ryan, Kayla, Ashley, Paris and Jacob, and 3 great-grandchildren – Elam, Oliver and Kymani. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marva and Bill Jones, Pat Grant (sister), and Dick Klees.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 24th at 1:00 pm at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home. The family suggests donations to the Portland Humane Society in lieu of flowers.

Gayle was a mother, friend, confident to many of us at Rodda Paint. She would do anything for me. She even had a baby shower for me at her home in 1990. I remember she was a snappy, colorful dresser! And Ill always remember her laugh! Beautiful lady I was honored to know.
Gayle will be dearly missed. She was a great long term patient of ours. The great thing about Gayle, No matter what she was ever going through with her health, she always had a smile on her face. She was so full of joy and such a wonderful soul. We will miss her smile.
